Vinge advises Borgo in connection with the formation of a new mortgage company

Five finance companies have formed a new residential mortgage platform. Ålandsbanken, Ica Banken, Ikano Bank, Söderberg & Partners and Borgo have entered into an agreement regarding the establishment of a jointly owned mortgage company on the Swedish market.

In connection with the creation of the new residential mortgage platform, the majority of the shares in Borgo were acquired by Ålandsbanken, Ica Banken, Ikano Bank and Söderberg & Partners. Borgo’s management will assume the operational responsibility for the co‑ordination and establishment of the new mortgage company.

Vinge’s team primarily consisted of Johan Larsson, Mattias Schömer, Emma‑Stuart Beck and Malin Haag.

 Vinge has advised Stockholm Exergi in connection with the conclusion of a permanent carbon removal agreement with Microsoft, covering 3.33 million tonnes of permanent carbon removals from bio-energy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) at Värtan, Stockholm. The agreement is the world’s largest permanent carbon removal deal to date.
