Vinge advises Flygfältsbyrån in connection with sale to COWI

Vinge has advised Flygfältsbyrån AB in connection with the sale of its operations to COWI A/S (through the sale of FB Engineering AB, FB Management AB and AEC Investment AB and subsidiaries).

The target companies’ operations include providing expert engineering services to private and public sector clients within industry, infrastructure, construction and property development as well as CAD/IT. Flygfältsbyrån is one of Sweden’s leading technology groups with its headquarters in Gothenburg and the group employs a total of 760 people. Flygfältsbyrån has been operating in this sector for over 60 years.

The COWI group is a global technology consultancy group specialising in engineering technology, environment, and economics. COWI has been operating in these sectors over 80 years. Following the merger with Flygfätsbyrån, MOWI will have approximately 6000 employees.

Vinge’s team consisted of Olof Jisland, Managing Partner of the Gothenburg office, assisted by Max Glanzelius. Partner Raoul Svensson was responsible for tax law issues and partner Susann Vahlenbreder was responsible for intellectual property law issues.

Vinge has advised Stockholm Exergi in connection with the conclusion of a permanent carbon removal agreement with Microsoft, covering 3.33 million tonnes of permanent carbon removals from bio-energy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) at Värtan, Stockholm. The agreement is the world’s largest permanent carbon removal deal to date.
