Vinge advises Fortum in connection with the sale of heating operations outside Stockholm

Vinge has advised Fortum in connection with the sale of its distance heating operations and appurtenant facilities outside the Stockholm region to Macquarie funds. The sales price amounted to SEK 2 billion. Fortum sold the operations in order to concentrate its operational focus on power and heating production and business development in the Stockholm region. The transaction comprised both municipal and distance heating operations and industrial co-operations. All of the operations are located in the east, west and central parts of Sweden.
 
Vinge's team consisted of Johan Göthberg, Björn Gustavsson, Johan Cederblad, Johan Norström, Oska Löthberg, Mikaela Mars and Nicolina Kindblom.

 Vinge has advised Stockholm Exergi in connection with the conclusion of a permanent carbon removal agreement with Microsoft, covering 3.33 million tonnes of permanent carbon removals from bio-energy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) at Värtan, Stockholm. The agreement is the world’s largest permanent carbon removal deal to date.
