VINGE ADVISES ON SALE OF STC GREENFOOD

Vinge is advising STC Interfinans in connection with the sale of the fruit and vegetables company, STC GreenFood to Fidelio Capital.

STC GreenFood is one of the Nordic region’s largest independent actors in the fruit and vegetables industry with operations in Sweden, Finland, Spain and Denmark.

The group has a turnover of approximately SEK 3 billion and has approximately 550 employees within three business areas, i.e. Wholesale, Fresh Cut and Eden Sallad Bars. Following the acquisition, STC GreenFood will continue to be managed by its current management, which will focus on accelerated expansion and further development of the operations. The transaction is conditional upon approval by the Swedish Competition Authority and it is anticipated that the transaction can be completed during the third quarter 2015.

Fidelio Capital is a Swedish investment company which invests in small and medium sized Nordic companies. Fidelio Capital has previous experience of the fruit and vegetables industry through its holding in Picadeli.

Vinge’s team consisted of responsible partner Daniel Rosvall together with associates Maria Dahlin and Samra Baytar (M&A) as well as project assistant Josefine Malm. Vinge has advised Stockholm Exergi in connection with the conclusion of a permanent carbon removal agreement with Microsoft, covering 3.33 million tonnes of permanent carbon removals from bio-energy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) at Värtan, Stockholm. The agreement is the world’s largest permanent carbon removal deal to date.
